PETERSEN MEDIA- At the end of the 2013 season, Jason Meyers and his Tarlton Racing team came alive as they won the Gold Cup Race of Champions, and finished second in Trophy Cup Standings. With the 2014 season upon us, Tarlton Racing is pleased to announced that Meyers will kick the team’s season off in Las Vegas, NV against the World of Outlaws.
“Our entire organization is extremely excited about our 2014 season, and we are thrilled that Jason (Meyers) will kick it off for us in Las Vegas, NV,” Tommy Tarlton said. “We have some new partners on board in 2014, and we are hoping to have a very successful season between all of our drivers.”
Aside from Pabco Gypsum coming on board as announced earlier in the offseason, Tarlton Racing is pleased to welcome long time sprint car sponsor, Elite Landscape Construction to the team, and back into the sport in 2014.
After partnering with Jason Meyers for several years, Elite Landscape and Construction took a few years off from Sprint Car racing, but in 2014 they are back, and owner Guy Stockbridge is very excited to be with the Tarlton Racing group.
“We ‘ve had a great relationship going with the Tarlton Family for 14 years, and over the years our businesses seemed to cross several times, and we were able to form a great friendship,” Stockbridge said. “Jason and myself teamed up for 12 years and competed with the World of Outlaws and won two championships, and I thought I was done after he retired. When Jason began driving for the Tarlton’s, Tommy (Tarlton) talked to me about coming on board, and with the friendships I have with both Jason and Tommy this seemed like the perfect fit. We are also excited to be supporting Jason’s nephew, Drake Carter in the Micro ranks as well as Ethan Myatt this year.”
Meyers will pilot the Elite Landscape Construction/Tarlton and Son/Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino No. 21 at the Las Vegas Dirt Track againt the World of Outlaws on March 5th and 6th.
